I was so delighted when I was commissioned to capture a
surprise engagement at the Dallas arboretum. Chris picked out the perfect spot
ahead of time and we coordinated the time and place. I felt like a spy on a
secret mission. I was through the gates the moment they opened. I found my
spot, let him know I was in place, and then just waited. As I waited I noticed
that the area he had chosen were filled with a flower called “Wendy’s
Wish”….how sweet! :-) I got the text they were headed my way, a few minutes
later they passed right by me (thank goodness she had never met me before). He
reached down to get a water bottle out of his bag, but pulled out a ring
instead…and she said YES! I felt a little like a stalker at this point but it
was so beautiful I didn’t care! After Wendy had a moment to let it sink in, we
took some more pictures around the garden.
